Hi all. Yesterday, Alexis came down with a 102 degree temp. I thought it was no biggie and it would break. Well last night it spiked to 104.3. Even medicine didn't make it drop. So this morning I took her to the hospital. They ran a blood count and catherized her amongst other things. Her WBC is low. Lower than most sick kids. it's barely 4000. After all the testing, turns out she has Influenza. They said there is nothing more they can do, because she has the strand that unfortunately there is no cure for.

I am just glad that I met the most amazing man a little while back! His name is Ryan and he is so amazing! He went with me to take her. He stayed with us that day and made sure we both had someone! He is the best father and most incredible man I ever met! I think I am actually falling in love! It's been a long time, because well, my heart was pretty closed to men once I got hurt once before! But Ryan has shown me how to open up, trust and love again! I am so excited to see where our lives will go!

Our Second Date

So, Ryan and I agreed to meet for lunch on Feb 11. So he took me to the Ram on the waterfront! He had his daughter and told me he could drop her off first. But I knew how much he loved her and would miss her so I said to bring her. Besides I wanted to see if he was as good of a father as I thought he was! And he was! We talked about a ton of things and life! Then he asked what I was doing for spring break, and I said just hanging out so he suggested going to Disneyland! I was of course excited! This man is so much like me! We even had the same ideas! We seemed to get each other from the first time we emailed! After lunch we walked down to the "beach" and threw rocks in the water with his daughter and talked! So, when he left, we hugged. Yes, I really, really wanted to kiss him, but he was such a gentleman! We waited to kiss until after he came back! And the first kiss, I'll never forget! LOL! I sure was going to miss him when he left! I was bummed he was leaving so soon! Thus was our second date!

Happiness Is. . .

Hi! Isn't it amazing that when you finally stop looking, it always seems to find you? For the first time in a very long time, I am really happy! I can honestly say life is amazing and I thank God that I waited for someone, instead of looked! Just wanted to share my happiness! Love you all! Bri

Our First Date

It was a cold afternoon! Alexis and I met Ryan and Jadyn at the Safeway on 6th! When he stepped out of his truck, I was so amazed by how handsome he was! He was a real gentleman and opened the door for me and everything! His daughter was a cutie as well! I was somewhat shy. We had a ton of fun and I even growled with the kids at the bears! I didn't know it then, but that was when Ryan said he fell in love with me! All the animals were out and it was exciting! It was my best first date I'd ever had! I knew then that he was a great dad and I started falling for him. Or perhaps I already had. It may have been love at first site, but at the time I did not know!

We said goodbye, and he wanted to see me Sunday for lunch! I was so excited!

When We First Met

Well, truth be told, we first met on Match.com. Ryan actually found me! LOL! I was somewhat suspicious! But he slowly, gained my trust through e-mails then finally over the phone. I told him I've not really done anything like this, but Dr. Phil was supposed to be amazing! Ryan wanted to go on a date, sooner rather than later. He told me he had a daughter, which I was afraid because I've never dated anyone with kids. He finally asked me to go out with him and the only day I had available was Friday, Feb. 9. I asked him if he'd want to do Northwest Trek with the two girls. I wanted to see how he was with his daughter and I figured that was the safest way to meet a stranger from the internet. Thus we met!
